Snowy day!

Today is a very snowy day! What better time to stay inside and work on those craft projects that have been set aside. Or better yet, start a new one. I am not much of a knitter, but I did start a small project last night on a knitting loom. I may just end up making hats for the whole family.
Once I get the basics figured out, I will get a little more adventurous and make a bigger project. I will be buying a loom knitting pattern book of my own I'm sure. I am anxious to try making socks on it...nice toasty socks for these cold snowy days.
I have also been busy making crocheted dishcloths. They are simple to make and very practical. When my daughter was little, she claimed several for blankets for her Beanie Babies. They were just the right size. For anyone with children or grandchildren, these make a neat little gift.
For those on your list who seem to have 'everything', why not make them a quillow? It is a practical gift, and can be made in an afternoon. It will be appreciated on a cool winter evening. They are also great to carry in your vehicle for the nappers on trips.
As I write this, I can't help but make a mental list of all the things I want to make. I have several dozen bolts of fabric to work with, which makes it quite easy to start a new project. I have bundles of five fat quarters available for sale. To order, click on the 'Buy now' button on the right. Fat quarters are great for making scrap quilts...just have a look through any fat quarter project book. They are designed to be quickly put together so they can be enjoyed as quickly as possible.
I have only just begun with the ideas and projects that will be available on this Blog. I welcome comments or ideas...or if you have a question I will do my best to answer it. I wish to make this as interesting and interactive as possible.
Happy crafting!
